Research Team System Modelling and Evaluation
The research group "System Modelling and Evaluation" is a research group that operates across research fields. A special research focus is on the material flow modelling of systems for waste and waste water treatment as well as for water treatment, whereby both individual processes and process chains are considered. Static and dynamic models for different problems are developed and applied.
Many years of experience exist in particular in the following areas
- the application and further development of various material flow models for wastewater and sludge treatment (asm1, asm3, adm)
- the application and further development of various material flow models for waste water and sludge treatment the modelling of the corresponding biological processes (ASM1, ASM3, ADM)
- the integrated modelling and balancing of material and energy flows in production, processing and recycling processes
Another focus of the research group is the development and application of different assessment methods, including mono- and multi-criteria approaches. For example, the economic or/and ecological evaluation of procedures and systems can be mentioned here.
